Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet messes (spills, stains) in one time without having to swap out devices. They can also help save storage space compared to having two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Find models that automatically empty their bins, refill their water tank, and wash their mopping pads with an appropriate dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you running with a clean, full dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in a matter of minutes.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that is able to clean up a storm and also vacuums well. Its mops spin at high speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For example, you can opt for the robot to clean up the living and kitchen areas but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models cannot. The only problem is that it tends to hit walls and objects at a high speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning in the app will tell you exactly what the robot has done, where it is moving, and what obstacles it has encountered or avoided.
A handy LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance tasks need to be done like emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time, with the mop capable of running for 184 minutes in Quiet mode and the vacuum capable of running for 136 minutes in normal mode before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. You can also view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is well laid out and easily understood, though we would have liked to be able distinguish between a vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum, is the newest version. In contrast to the model of last year, this one features an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that enables it to remove finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.
As with the two other Roborock models I've tried it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which helps it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes a dual-camera that can identify objects, and determine if they are walls or other surfaces. It then can automatically alter its path and clean them without skipping a beat.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've examined, but it's also feature-packed. Its sleek, angular design is eye-catching and it has only three physical buttons which include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to return the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself and the bin auto-refilling.
The only issue I have found with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. You can change the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to remove the mount for manual washing. I've found any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of clever features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and set up these advanced features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor battery life and component maintenance. You'll need to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its smart design allows users to tailor and effectively clean while reducing time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry debris. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves floors spotlessly clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet when in operation, with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.
Another notable characteristic is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush, which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners as well as clean curved furniture like table and chair legs. It also lets the robot to get under furniture with a low profile making it an ideal option for apartments or condos with tight spaces. The side brush tilts automatically down when it spots wet spots. This is a great feature that enables the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through excessive back-and forth movements.
Unlike some other robots that only focus on one task, the X40 can perform mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or separately. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas, and vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is easy to use and intuitive, and the X40 has many smart features that are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, look at floor plans and mapping, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and inform you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers many convenient features, making it an ideal choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, washes mop pads and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It also can detect when the mop pad is full and alert you before it overflows, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive on the market and comes with many extra features that make it stand out. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, small dirt particles, and clean up spills and dirty spots.
The mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This is a great feature as it stops the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. robot cleaner is a system we've yet to see on other robot vacuums and mop models and could be a good method to keep your home clean for longer.
There's a wealth of options available that include the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a variety of preferences. These can be set via the app, or via buttons that can be found on the device itself. robot vacuums reviews is simple to use and offers a variety of options to customize your cleaning routine. It also has several functions that are not available on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen in the market, sporting metallic and white design that looks elegant and classy. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this listing but it's not excessively heavy. It is solid and well-built. The mopping system is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can also extend up to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature which is a nice touch.
