1. Roomba Combo j9+
The Roomba Combo j9+ is one of the most advanced 2-in-1 mop and robot vacuum cleaners available on the market today. It comes with an elegant, self-emptying Clean Base that can hold up to two full mopping cycles and is even designed to resemble a tiny table. It is also the only robot we've tested with an onboard reservoir that automatically washes and replenishes the pads for cleaning after each vacuum and mopping cycle.
The mopping arm is placed unobtrusively at the top of the unit. It lowers when it senses hard surfaces, and then begins to scrub. It moves slowly and carefully over surfaces to ensure that it doesn't accidentally spill wet spills or mud on carpeted areas. It does a great job of staying clear of the path of cords, furniture, and other obstacles.
It's more intelligent than other robot vacs, too, thanks to the iRobot Home app, which allows you to modify your cleaner's settings prioritize rooms based on dirtiness, set cleaning schedules and times and more. The app offers precise maps of your home, seasonal suggestions, customized cleaning routines, as well as smart home integrations that are intuitive.

5. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is an amazingly powerful vacuum and mop combination that was designed to be easy for users. Its gunmetal-colored base station self-emptying and it fills its own tank with clean water, automatically empties the dust bin into a smaller one it washes and dry its own mop pad between cleaning sessions. It also has an advanced feature set that lets it switch between hard and rugs and effectively remove dirt and pet hair from carpets, and clear raised room thresholds.
The S1 Pro's navigation and maps are excellent, with the internal dToF LiDAR device allows it to keep a low profile while still delivering top-notch objects avoidance. It can drive close to walls and avoid steps without falling. It also raises the mop when driving on short-pile carpets. However, it struggled in the presence of longer-pile carpets and several large, thick piles of dried-on debris.
Like many robots like it, the S1 Pro comes ready to take off from the box and only requires the initial mapping run to figure out how it can navigate your home. Once that's done, the map is displayed in the app and rooms can be added or merged as needed. You can also set virtual boundaries as well as no-go or no-mop zones if there's something you do not want the robot to be able to touch.
The S1 Pro is a great choice for homes with flooring of both types, since it has the ability to mop and vacuum. However the fact that it relies on an Eufy-branded cleaning product (which is included in the box) makes it less flexible than other robots that allow you to build your own solutions. Its ability to mop and vacuum makes it an ideal option for homes that have different types of flooring, but its reliance on a Eufy brand cleaning solution (which is included in the box) can make it less flexible than other robots that allow you to create your own solutions.
